As Teddy strode toward her, the candlelight danced across his chest, emphasizing his muscular physique. He captured her gaze with his own and a hot flush spread through her.

Her sex clenched with need. Grabbing his buttocks, she pressed him closer until his pelvis rocked hers and she felt his shaft nestled against her opening.

Feeling his arms tighten around her, Christine pressed her cheek to his. If she could burrow into him and wrap his essence around herself, she would. There was no safer place than Teddy’s embrace. If only the morning never had to come and she could stay forever in his arms.

His fingers teased her nub, sending all sensation hurtling to that one point of pleasure. A pang shot through her nipples and her head rolled back as she moaned. It was too much. It was not enough.

Still, Teddy rocked her, his shaft driving forward and back, full and tight inside of her. Pleasure rippled within her, welling up to the brim, sending her over the edge. As the tremors of her release dissipated, so did the walls around her heart. Years of defenses melted down like beeswax, until no part of herself remained hidden.

Teddy cupped her face in his hands and kissed her lips, her nose, her chin. Caressing her cheek with his own, he clasped her tightly against him.

She listened to the rhythm of their breaths until they became slower, deeper. As Teddy relaxed into slumber, a single tear fell upon her cheek. Christine knew then that that there was more at stake than her reputation and her livelihood. For now her heart belonged to him as well.
